humansofnewyork: I found a woman with a curious body suit on the edge of Washington Square Park. She turned out to be an artist named Galina Rybatsky, and she explained her work as such: “When your pulse drops below 76, it funnels blood out of the mask and your vision is cleared. When your pulse rises above 76, the blood is funneled back into the mask and your vision is obscured. It’s designed to teach the user to be sensitive to environmental stressors, and to learn how these stressors affect the body.”
